My name is Daniel Abaraoha and I’m a recent graduate from Cornell University. I created a shoe brand called Vita Shoes back in 2016. The brand’s inception was inspired from my humble upbringing – I grew up in a fairly modest household and my family couldn’t afford much, one of those things were sneakers. With that, I began designing at an early age until I decided I wanted to create my own shoe brand. Though instead of becoming the next great brand by style alone, I figured the brand I created should stand for more. My background and experience with community service led me to incorporate philanthropic principles as part of brand, as well as a mission to get any and all people the ability to have quality and eco-friendly products – starting with sneakers. Since 2016, we’ve made over $15,000 in revenue and raised nearly $3000 for service projects with homeless shelters in Texas. And we’re only getting started!
